Pssst... Your Confidence is Showing.

At Jane, we spend time building strength inside the studio, so that we can be the STRONGEST version of ourselves outside in the real world too.  We know that our physical body is only a tiny fraction of who we are and how awesome we can be! Part of our strength is learning how to tell our doubts to SIT DOWN and let our CONFIDENT SELVES STAND UP!  

We know that confidence comes from what we DO, so this July, get out there and claim your confidence by DO-ing!

  • DO try a new activity like tennis, paddle boarding, or kayaking.  Day drinking is awesome, but put down the can of rosé and jump into the water, onto the court, or the bike- your body will thank you.  Even if you skip a workout to beat the beach traffic, no biggie! Sports are super fun and a great way to workout without the gym. Water is also an amazing low impact form of resistance, so injuries are NO excuse not to stay active this summer.  
  • DO volunteer.  Nursing homes, homeless shelters, and food pantries don’t take summer vacations and they usually lose some of their regular volunteers, like students.  Go find a spot near you to give back. Spending time with others and making a positive impact on people in your community is a great way to build up your own feel good vibes!  It also helps to put silly little things (like stretch marks and pit tit) into perspective.
  • DO invest in a summer swim suit that makes you feel comfortable, confident, and hell-a SEXY.  Whether it’s a thong, a one-piece, or a damn wetsuit, find something that allows you to stop thinking about what you are wearing and start ENJOYING the beach or pool with your friends and family!  There is nothing worse than constantly fixing a swimsuit that just doesn’t suit you, so find something that fits and forget about it! Want to cover up a bit more- opt for a cute colorful wrap or boyish board shorts.  Just find something and DO YOU.
  • DO enjoy the long days.  Summer is short, but the days are nice and long.  Get outside, even for a 20 min lunch break, and take in the vitamin D.  The sun is clinically proven to boost mood, productivity, and immunity, so there is no reason to sit inside all day, just don’t forget your sunscreen.
